App Status Management

 

In the My Applications page, you can view the current status of your app and take appropriate action.

There are three major states: Registration, Validation, and Sale. The current status of an app appears below one of the major state columns in the table, which also lists the app summary information.

Note: App status management affects apps and their in-app items (when offered).

You can review an app's history of status changes by clicking on the app's date link in the 'Last Updated' column.
 

Depending on the app status, you take the following actions by clicking app status links or UI buttons:

Caution: Deletion or termination of an app causes permanent removal of the app and in-app item registration.

 

State Sub-State Actions

Registration

Registering

The entry of app registration information has not been completed.
 

Registering - Review or change app and in-app item registration information.

Delete - Permanently remove the app.
 

Re-Registering

App registration information is being updated or added after validation rejection or cancelation.
 

Re-registering - Review or change app and in-app item registration information.

Delete - Permanently remove the app.
 

Updating

App registration information can be changed for an app that is being normally distributed. The distributed version remains unchanged and continues to be distributed.
 

Updating - Review or change app and in-app item registration information.

Delete - Permanently remove the updated version of the app. The distributed version will not be affected and continue to be distributed.

To suspend an 'Updating' or app and its in-app items, first delete, and then suspend.
 

Validation

 

Pre-Validation

The app and/or its in-app items have been submitted for validation testing and being evaluated by an automated process.
 

None

To suspend a 'Pre-validation' app and its in-app items, first cancel, and then suspend.

Ready to Pre-Views

The app and/or in-app items are undergoing preview testing for security and basic functionality.

Preview testing can take one or more business days, and may take five or more business days.

Ready to Pre-Views - Review app and in-app item registration information.

Cancel - Cancel validation testing.
App changes back to either the 'Registering' or 'Re-registering' state.

Pre-Reviews Delayed

Preview testing has been postponedand will resume automatically after the delay.

[Message Icon] - Review the reason for the delay.
Display the 'Go to Support' button.

Go to Support - Get help from Samsung.

Cancel - Cancel validation testing.
 

Under Content Review

The app and/or in-app item content is being tested.

If they does not comply with local laws or customs, Samsung may remove distribution countries, and will then continue with testing.

Under Content Review - Review app and in-app item registration information.

Cancel - Cancel validation testing.

Content Review Delayed

App and/or in-app item content testing has been postponed and will resume automatically after the delay.

Content Review Delayed - Review app and in-app item registration information.

[Message Icon] - Review the reason for the delay.
Display the 'Go to Support' button.

Go to Support - Get help from Samsung.

Cancel - Cancel validation testing.
 

Device Test

The app are being tested on the app's distribution devices.

If a test fails on a device, either: a) the app fail validation testing, or b) the associated device group is removed from the distribution devices and testing continues.

Device Test - Review app and in-app item registration information.

Cancel - Cancel validation testing.

Device Test Delayed

Testing on distribution devices has been postponed and will resume automatically after the delay.

Device Test Delayed - Review app and in-app item registration information.

[Message Icon] - Review the reason for the delay.
Display the 'Go to Support' button.

Go to Support - Get help from Samsung.

Cancel - Cancel validation testing.
 

Test Confirmation Rejected

The app or its in-app items failed validation testing.

Test Confirmation Rejected - Review app and in-app item registration information.

Check the Reason - Review the reason for rejection. Display the 'Re-register Application' and 'Go to Support' buttons.

Re-register Application - Update app information to correct the reasons for rejection. Correct all issues that must be fixed before resubmitting for validation retesting.

Go to Support - Get help from Samsung.

Delete - Permanently remove the tested version. If a previous version is being distributed, the distributed version is not deleted and continues to be distributed.
 

Ready For Change

The updated app and/or its in-app items passed validation testing, have not been automatically released, and can now be released.

Ready For Change - Review app and in-app item registration information.

[Message Icon] - If displayed, review the updates recommended to be made before release. Display the 'Go to Support' button.

Go to Support - Get help from Samsung.

Release - Stop the distribution of the previous version, and distribute the tested version.

If released before the Selling Start date, the Selling Start date is updated to the current date. 

Delete - Permanently remove the tested version. If a previous version is being distributed, the distributed version is not deleted and continues to be distributed.
 

Sale

 

Ready For Sale

The new app and/or its in-app items passed validation testing, have not been automatically released, and can now be released.

Ready For Sale - Review app and in-app item registration information.

[Message Icon] - If displayed, review the updates recommended to be made before release. Display the 'Go to Support' button.

Go to Support - Get help from Samsung.

Release - Distribute the tested version.

If released before the Selling Start date, the Selling Start field is updated to the current date.
 

For Sale

The app and/or its in-app items passed validation and were released. The app is being normally distributed. When offered, in-app items are supported.

For Sale - Review app and in-app item registration information.

Update - Change the app and in-app item registration.
Another instance of the app's registration is created, listed, and is assigned 'Updating' status.

Caution: There may be consequences. For details, see  Updates after distribution.

Depending on the changes, the app and/or its in-app items may need to be submitted for validation testing before the updated version is distributed. For details, see Update Apps and In-App Items.

Suspend - Stop the availability of the app and/or its in-app items.

If you suspend an app that is running a promotion (discount, coupon, or banner), the promotion is canceled.
 

Suspended

The normal distribution of the app and in-app item support have been stopped, either manually or because the app's 'Selling Ends' date has been reached.

Suspended - Review app and in-app item registration information.

Update - Change the app and in-app item registration.
Another instance of the app's registration is created, listed, and is assigned 'Updating' status.

Caution: There may be consequences. For details, see  Updates after distribution.

Depending on the changes, the app and/or its in-app items may need to be submitted for validation testing before the updated version is distributed. For details, see Update Apps and In-App Items.

Terminate - Permanently remove the app and in-app item registration.
 

Beta Deployed

The beta version of the app and its in-app items were registered and are available to beta testers.

Beta Deployed - Review app and in-app item registration information.

Suspend - Make the beta version app unavailable.
The beta in-app items may remain available or be made unavailable.
 

Beta Suspended

The beta distribution of the app has been stopped, either manually or because the 'Selling Ends' date has been reached.

The beta in-app items may remain available or be made unavailable.

[Message Icon] - Review the reason for suspension.
Display the 'Go to Support' button.

Go to Support - Get help from Samsung.

Terminate - Permanently remove the beta version app and in-app item registration.
