Testing your badge not only tests the link to your app but also allows you to view your app in the Galaxy Store. The product detail page or your seller brand page is launched on a Samsung mobile device using Cloud Device Farm, which provides remote access to an actual Samsung device over the Internet.
Have you ever wondered what your app looks like in the Galaxy Store of a country other than your own or what the top apps are in another country? If you are distributing your app to more than one country and have configured localized content, you can view the localized content in the Galaxy Store of those countries. You can also view the top paid and free apps in another country's Galaxy Store. Supported regions/countries include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Philippines, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom, and the U.S. Languages supported include English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and traditional Chinese. For more information about multiple language support and localization, see App Promotion in Multiple Languages or watch the video.
To test your badge and view your app product detail page or seller brand page in the Galaxy Store:
- Go to your SDP Dashboard (log in, if necessary).
- In the dashboard's sidebar menu, click Galaxy Store Badges.
- If you have not already done so, create a badge for the app. See Get Your Own Samsung Badge URLs for more information.
Locate your app's badge, verify that its status is Active (the badge must be active), and click TEST +.
By default, a search is initiated for a Samsung mobile device for the U.S.
If a device is available, your product detail page or seller brand page is displayed in the U.S. Galaxy Store in Cloud Device Farm. It may take several seconds to launch the Galaxy Store and display the page.
Switch the country by clicking a country listed to the left of the device.
Note: Your app must be distributed to the country that you select. Otherwise, the product detail page or seller brand page will not display. When you registered your app in Seller Office, you set these distribution countries. For more information about setting an app's distribution country, see the related pages for your app type (Android, Galaxy Watch, or Theme).
You can use the device for up to 15 minutes, after which you will be automatically disconnected. Or, you can exit Cloud Device Farm at any time by clicking in the upper left corner of the screen.
If you are familiar with Cloud Device Farm, you can perform all the actions available in it (such as taking and downloading screenshots).
For more information about the actions you can perform in Cloud Device Farm, see Actions Summary.
