Note: In August 2018, Samsung Gear became Samsung Galaxy Watch. Information referring to Galaxy Watch also applies to earlier Gear devices and apps, unless stated otherwise.

Depending on your type app, you can generate a Galaxy badge URL that hyperlinks your customers to either:

  • Product detail page for one of your Android, Edge, Galaxy Watch, Stickers, Fonts, or Theme apps
  • Seller brand page with all of your Galaxy Watch apps or Theme apps

For Samsung mobile device users, all badge URLs send them to either a product detail page or a seller brand page.

For non-Samsung mobile device users:

  • Badge URLs for Galaxy Watch apps send them to either a product detail page or a seller brand page.
  • Badge URLs for Android, Edge, Stickers, Fonts, and Theme apps send them to a help page.

For desktop PC users, all badge URLs send them to a help page.

The badge help page explains how to get to your app download page or your seller brand page.

For details about other Samsung promotions of your apps, and how Samsung supports you with your own promotions, see Android App Promotion, Galaxy Watch App Promotion, and Theme Product Promotion.

    App Name*

Title of your badge (for example, a name related to an app, part or all of your product line, or a promotional campaign)

The title is only displayed in the Your Badges table and in badge user click reports. We recommend you use a catchy name that is easy to track.

    Preferred Tag*

A character set (three to nine alphanumeric characters, case-insensitive, and must be unique among all active badge URLs) that becomes part of your badge URL (http://galaxy.us/[tag])

We recommend a badge tag that is easy for your customers to type.
