Validation Process Steps

To get your app certified for distribution through the Galaxy Store:

  1. Design and develop your app and, when applicable, its commercial in-app items:
    • Ensure that your app and its in-app items meet:
    • When appropriate, increase the security of your app.
       For details, see the Application Protection Guide.
    • Ensure integration of the proper SDKs into your app:
      • To enable selling commercial in-app items from your freely or commercially distributed app through the planned app store(s):
        • To distribute through the Galaxy Apps Store only, integrate the In-App Purchase SDK.

        • To distribute through the Galaxy Apps Store and all OpenIAB-compliant app stores when you are not integrating Unity APIs, integrate the OpenIAB Library.

        • To distribute through the Galaxy Apps Store and all OpenIAB-compliant app stores when you are integrating the Unity APIs, integrate the Unity OpenIAB Plugin.

    • Get the proper accounts for your app and in-app item management personnel:
      • Your app representative(s) must get a Samsung Account user account.
        For details, see the Samsung Account User Accounts and Features Guide.
      • Your app representative(s) must get the proper Seller Office distributor account:
        • To freely distribute apps that do not sell commercial items, get a free account.
        • To freely distribute apps that do sell commercial items or commercially distribute apps (whether or not they sell commercial items), get a commercial account.

    • Register your development version app and its in-app items with Seller Office.
      For details, see Seller Office Registration.
    • Finalize development of your production version app and its in-app items.
    • Update your production version app and in-app item registration in Seller Office (for example, ensure production distribution and pricing).
       
  2. Submit an App for Validation.
  3. Manage the Progress of Certification Validation, which may include revision and resubmission for certification if your app or its commercial items are not validated.
  4. After your app and its commercial items are validated, manage their distribution, sales, and finances through Seller Office:
