In-App Item Requirements and Guidelines

In-app item registration

  • In-app items must be registered in Samsung Seller Office and must pass validation by Samsung in order for their sales to be enabled.
  • Anyone registering in-app items must have an account with Samsung Account and the appropriate type of Samsung Seller Office account indicated in the following table:

In-app item availability and purchase

  • In-app items will be available to users:
    • With devices that are compatible with the in-app items' app binary files.
    • In distribution countries with paid sales contracts specified in the in-app items' app registration.
  • For the in-app items' app that is registered in Samsung Seller Office as agreeing to the When SAMSUNG Galaxy Apps becomes available in more countries or with more payment options, your applications will automatically be sold in those countries clause:
    • When a country initially agrees to a paid sales contract, then the app will automatically be distributed to that country and its in-app item prices governed by each item's standard price or by an overriding factor, such as a country-specific minimum payment or a specified price for the country's region block.
    • When a country changes the existing sales contract by adding more payment options, then the app's in-app item prices are governed by each item's standard price or by an overriding factor.
  • For Android app users to purchase the app's in-app items:
    • The user must have a Samsung account.
    • The user's device must be a Samsung device that has the following installed on it:
      • Samsung In-App Purchase Client
      • Samsung Account Client
      • Samsung Billing Client
  • When purchasing an in-app item, the end user pays either:
    • The country's minimum item price at the time of the transaction when the default or seller-entered country-specific (local) item price is below the country's minimum item price.
      or
    • The country-specific (local) item price at the time of the transaction.
